First Quality® launches new family-focused benefits

This year, First Quality introduced a “Bundle of Joy” benefit, providing a year’s worth of free diapers to all U.S. team members who qualify for paid parental leave. Also available to eligible employees in Canada, the free diapers are an extension of the company’s New Baby Welcome Kits that include a onesie, bib and case of wipes.

Benefits include free diapers, more paid time off and dependent care assistance

 

GREAT NECK, NY (Feb. 29, 2024) — When Kevin McCann welcomed his second child, he jumped at the chance to use the six weeks of paid parental leave that First Quality offers all full-time team members in the U.S., regardless of gender. It’s just one example of the family-focused benefits the company provides employees, with more launching this year.

 

“First Quality understands the importance of family time, and I am so grateful for the weeks I spent at home with my newborn daughter,” said McCann, who is a marketing operations manager at the company. “The fact that they continue to expand their benefits shows they don’t just say they are family first, they mean it.”

 

The six weeks of paid parental leave, which can be used following the birth, adoption or foster care placement of a child, is in addition to the minimum of six weeks paid maternity leave available to U.S. employees who give birth. Now First Quality is further expanding its efforts to support team members with growing families.

 

New benefits in 2024

Another new benefit in 2024: First Quality now offers Child and Family Care Assistance to all full-time team members in the U.S., matching up to $2,500 of annual dependent care contributions to Flexible Savings Accounts. These funds can be used to pay for childcare or caregiving expenses for adult dependents. The company is also providing more vacation time to U.S. team members: a minimum of three weeks of paid time off (PTO) for all full-time employees.
